  • 5/22/2020  The Woodrow Wilson Civic Spring Project will award grants of $75K–$100K to orgs. that can meaningfully partner with, mentor, and involve young people during summer 2020 around COVID-19 response and/or building civic capacities. Learn more at the https://civic-spring.org
  • 5/20/2020  As an education leader you're likely concerned about this year's extended summer slide, wondering how to provide ongoing family engagement during this unusual time, and juggling an evolving budget. ​Ready4K has put together the Summer & Beyond Grant: a flexible funding program designed to offer the most support possible to diverse educational organizations serving young children and their families. Learn more and apply. Applications are awarded on a rolling basis and will be accepted through June 15.
  • 5/20/2020  The American Honda Foundation engages in grant making that support youth education with a specific focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects, in addition to the environment, job training and literacy. Funding ranges from $30,000-$100,000. Deadline to apply for "new organization" is August 1, 2020. The mission is help meet the needs in the areas of youth and scientific education by awarding grants to nonprofits, while assisting communities in deriving long-term benefits.
  • 5/20/2020  Hunter’s Fund invests in young people (16-25) who have demonstrated talent, experience, and passion in music, entrepreneurship, performing arts and/or computer science. Grant awards can range from $500 to $5,000. Applications are reviewed and accepted twice a year with application deadlines of June 15 and November 15. Selected grantees are announced in August and January.
  • 5/20/2020  The Rite Aid Foundation has established the KidCents Regional Grants program to support nonprofit organizations that serve children and youth in grades K-12. The grants' primary focus include Healthy Eating, Active Living, and Education among children. The grants are available in select counties and states for out-of-school time programs that improve nutrition, physical fitness or academic success. Programs must include an educational component (e.g. programs that deliver nutritious food independent of a nutrition education component do not qualify). Priority will be given to those programs that deliver quality out-of-school services to children and youth in high-need families. Award Amount: Grants range from $15,000 to $30,000 – including up to 15% for indirect costs. Requests should not exceed $30,000. Project Timeline: Project timelines should not exceed 12 months. Project start dates should be scheduled a minimum of 4 months from the date of submission to accommodate our proposal review process which can take up to 150 days.
  • 5/20/2020  In response to educators’ emerging needs as a result of COVID-19, the NEA Foundation has launched the Rapid Response Funding to support educator-led initiatives to adapt to the unique circumstances of the pandemic during the summer months of 2020. Grants will be awarded for a six-month grant period beginning in May-June 2020 and for amounts of $1,500 to $5,000. The first deadline for applications is May 14, 2020; second deadline is May 28, 2020; and the third deadline is June 11, 2020. Applicants requesting funding should be prepared to begin their project during the Summer 2020. 
  • 5/1/2020  Voices for Healthy Kids, a joint initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the American Heart Association, announces the launch of the new Voices for Healthy Kids COVID-19 Rapid Response Grant Opportunity. Grants are due by Monday at 5 PM PST each week starting on May 4, 2020 through May 25, 2020, or until funding is depleted. Decisions will be made within four (4) weeks. All attempts will be made to speed the response time. Check it out here. 
  • 4/3/2020  No Kid Hungry Emergency Relief Grants. The coronavirus is closing schools and workplaces nationwide. Vulnerable children are losing the school meals they depend on, and low-income families are struggling with lost wages. No Kid Hungry is offering real time funding and assistance for school districts and non-profits that are finding ways to make sure kids have access to the meals they need as schools close due to coronavirus. They are supporting local efforts like home delivered meals, grab and go meals programs, school and community pantries, backpack programs, and other steps to help reach children and families who lost access to meals. They are providing $1 million in emergency grants immediately.
