We are a dedicated team of researchers and evaluators who support increasing STEM learning in OST programs for children and youth, especially among underrepresented groups. We employ Wilkerson and Haden’s best practices for evaluating STEM OST program, including 1) aligning the evaluation with the intended program outcomes; 2) selecting evaluation methods appropriate for the program’s design and duration; 3) providing the most rigorous design possible under the allocated budget; 4) creating a continuous feedback loop that provides evidence of impact and recommendation for quality program improvement; 5) developing a system for communicating results and evaluation findings on an agreed upon schedule; and 6) promoting a platform for continuous reflection and learning throughout the evaluation process.
